Microshading

Microshading has become a hugely popular alternative to microblading. This is because it’s very safe and is also suitable for people with more sensitive skin. You can get those lush, sculpted brows you’ve always wanted. Microshading looks good on everyone, no matter your hair, eye or complexion colour! Eyebrow microshading is a simple process where an expert beautician uses a manual or electric hand tool and delicately creates microdots of colour to fill in your eyebrow.

This repetition of dots replicates and fills in your natural brow shape. The effect is similar to that of using an eyebrow powder brushed over your brows. But, the shading is much more accurate. It creates a natural illusion of having perfectly manicured eyebrows without any effort on your part! Microshading produces defined and sculpted-looking brows without any pain or heavy invasive incisions. It’s a gentle, semi-permanent technique that can last between one and three years.

The entire process is simple and only lasts about 2 hours.

• First, you will consult with your technician and decide on your overall shape and effect.
• Your technician will then numb your eyebrow area. 
• They will work on your brows using a fine-tipped needle to create microdots to fill in your eyebrow hairs. 
• Results are seen as soon as your treatment is finished, which means you can hit the town immediately!

Your beautifully filled-in eyebrows can last up to about three years before you need to come back for a touch-up. However, the length of time your treatment will last depends more on your lifestyle and skin type. If you notice unusually fast fading, we advise coming in to get a touch-up after 6 months. Also, note that your eyebrows will look extra bold right after it’s done. The colour will fade slightly over the next two weeks, giving you softer, more natural-looking brows that hold their shape. Some small tips to remember:

• Avoid wetting your eyebrows after your treatment.
• Don’t engage in any sporting or UV activity that will create sweat on your face for around 24 hours.
